Comfort should be the number one thing on your shopping list, because you will be spending more time on your feet than you may realize.

Heels are not a necessary evil when you are picking out your wedding shoes. If you wish, you can cut them out all together, opting instead for pumps or even flats.

We were given an inside peek at the world of Jimmy Choo by Choo President Brian Henke (movie star cute) and loved every minute. You really can”t get more fabulous than hanging with your best friends and trying on Choos, can you?!?!? Check out Jimmy Choo.com for info on its latest darling (to be debuted today in the April issue of Vogue on the Last Look page)– the Hunter Wellington Boots in croco $395. Jimmy Choo ‘Clue’ Tie Dye Slingback Pump

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 10:19 pm

I like the tye dyed look of these Jimmy Choo shoes. With just a splash here and there of the cherry red color, these shoes still sexy, but also classy and sophisticated. These are Jimmy Choo’s ‘Clue’ Tie Dye Slingback Pump and are from the 2009 Spring collection. They have a 4.5 inch heel and a 1 inch platform, so feeling like a 3.5 inch heel, these shoes will be pretty comfortable to walk in. Available for pre-order at NORDSTROM., $725.

Hayden and Blake’s Boots!

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 11:48 pm

Two of our favorite blonde TV actresses hit the streets of New York City this week in the exact same pair of boots – and we were so smitten we had to track them down! Hayden Panettiere paired her Coach “Weslyn” boots in Whiskey with a black peacoat for a day of appearances in the city, while Blake Lively was snapped on-set in character as Serena van der Woodsen in her brown riding Louboutin boots. You can buy a pair of the actual boots for yourself, but if you want to spend a little less than the stars, we’ve got some more affordable options for a similar style.

Stand three steps above Katie

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:24 am

Tom Cruise’s height difference with his new wife Katie Holmes has been always been a delicate issue.

Just as with his ex-wife Nicole Kidman, the Mission: Impossible actor has chosen a spouse significantly taller than himself.

During a trip to the theatre in New York on Monday, Tom appeared happy to escort his lofty wife as she towered over him in four-inch patent black Christian Louboutin heels.

But just 24 hours later, fans were left wondering if Tom was mindful of the vertically-challenged photos published of the pair overnight after he insisted on standing three steps above Katie at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art’s Costume Gala.

The pair attended the superheroes-themed party both dressed in Armani, with Katie opting from a vintage sequinned beaded bustier and full ballgown skirt from the Italian designer’s 1993 collection.

As photographers shouted to the superstar couple to pose for the cameras, Tom happily stood three steps above Katie in a bid to correct the size difference caused by her sky-high cobalt blue heels.

In her footsteps: Cruise overshadowed by his wife

At 5ft 9in and without heels, Katie, 29, already stands two inches above her 45-year-old spouse.

Add stilettos to the equation and the height difference is embarrassingly wide.

Since she started dating Tom in 2005, Katie has refused to give up her Christian louboutin heel addiction.

Katie’s insistence on wearing stilettos contrasts to Tom’s second wife Nicole, who was three and a half inches higher than the actor.

Rhianna’s single silver Louboutin, Cinderella-ella-ella style

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 10:17 pm

Rhianna’s fab new footwear, on display at the Paper Magazine celebration of her cover shoot: a full leg cast and a single silver Louboutin heel. Where’d you leave the other one, Cinderella? (…ella, ella?) Seems the princess has broken her toe during an excursion to Mexico, but despite the huge bulky cast, she still manages to look lithe, dainty and quite heavenly in fact, in that flowy white tunic dress, slender legs, and the glittering Christian Louboutin. I couldn’t find one just like it, but a similarly colored silvery, glittery, glitzy Swarovski studded Louboutin heel

Can women ever have too many shoes?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 1:08 am

Even though all women are affected with MCD – Manolo Blahnik Compulsive Disorder – most don’t take things to Imelda Marcos extremes. But who’s to say that, with the resources, time and shelf space, they wouldn’t?

According to a 2005 study, British women possess £637 million (R8 billion) worth of high heels that they have never worn. ‘A woman’s predilection towards buying shoes is only occasionally a practical one,’ explains Sue Constable, a shoe heritage officer at Northampton Museum and Art Gallery, which holds a collection of more than 12,000 pairs. And if you’ve ever dispatched half your pay cheque on a pair of yellow neon mules with vertiginous heels, you will know exactly what she means.

But don’t worry: ‘Buying shoes fulfils another need,’ continues Constable. ‘The need to escape, to fantasise; the Cinderella factor.’ In other words, it’s enough to feel that those heels could whisk you safely down a red carpet, even if they’re more likely to end up sitting in their box.

‘For every practical purchase there is an aspirational purchase, and that is enormously beneficial for mental health and well-being,’ says Cary Cooper, a professor of psychology and health at the University of Lancaster. So, before your partner throws up his smelly trainers in protest, let him in on the cure for your addiction – increased cupboard space.
